Within a constrained underground environment, timber headings are often the most effective way of connecting a new tunnel to an existing. Within the London Underground network they are often the only way some tunnels can be constructed.
We pride ourselves on our ability to design large multi-level timber headings. These temporary structures enable both cast iron or concrete permanent structures to be built within. We intimately understand the unique challenges of designing these headings, including supporting and altering existing tunnels within these structures.
