Thames Water
CH2MHill
The Thames Tideway scheme is being instigated to prevent sewage overflows into the River Thames. This £2 billion project will entail the construction of a deep 9m diameter tunnel 32.2 km from Chiswick to upgraded treatment facilities at Beckton. A further 6.8 km long tunnel will also connect Thames Water's treatment works at Abbey Mills with Beckton.
We are providing a combination of strategic advice and engineering services on the project. Tasks undertaken include project management, contract preparation, cost estimation, constructability assessment, geotechnical baseline reports, specifications and specialist major project and tunnel engineering direction. These works follow a successful peer review of the entire project carried out in 2007.
